Timelines

Knowledge flows when the channel is open.

When we heal or resolve our unfinished business, related understanding can develop. However, if we have resistance to certain ideas or experiences, understanding won’t flow.

For example, many people have resistance to their ability with computers and thus find it harder to learn. “I feel I can’t” is verified in our experience.

The key is that the intelligence manifesting an experience is in the experience itself. It’s not in the object but in what created it. Thus, understanding is much easier when we’re not resisting what is arising.

Over the years, I’ve heard talk of multiple timelines, parallel lives, and such, but assumed this was some curious interpretation of their experience. And then I read the Yoga Vasishtha. In there is the story of a king who lives the karma of an entire life as a peasant during one night’s sleep. And then within that 2nd life, he lives an entire other life in one night’s sleep of that life. Clearing 2 life’s worth in one night!

I didn’t know of any mechanism for that to happen in. I thought perhaps it was something exceptional, by grace.

Recently, I received another session of somatic healing. We explored a contraction that someone had pointed out to me. It was existential and quite contracted. It was also quite old, carried forward through many lives. When you step into somatic impressions, if the channel is open, they can offer their origins.

Only its origin wasn’t in one of my past lives. I realized it originated in a parallel life on another planet, where others destroyed my work before killing me. (When properly prepared, we can process and observe such history without stepping back into it. This helps with the healing as it’s conscious but not re-traumatizing.)

This had quite a different feel than a past life. And yet, it clearly related to that past life, not just a random one. It explains Vasishtha’s story too.

We can experience our history in several ways, such as a linear timeline or as all happening simultaneously in the present moment. I experienced this as a simultaneous present. 2 concurrent simultaneouses (simultaneous simultaneouses?).

The trauma of that event had spilled over into multiple paths, including this one. And that tells us there can be some crossover. It was something I strongly noticed when it landed in this timeline.

This means that the awakening process is also entangled with other timelines. I already knew family was entangled with it. For example, the Brahman shift clears the family forward and backward for multiple generations (the texts suggest 8, but it varies a bit).

However, the soul remains undivided. We can have “orphaned parts” of ourselves buried to cope with trauma. But the soul itself is inviolable. The soul originates prior to time, and it turns out can express forward into multiple timelines simultaneously.

I used to think the soul and jiva were synonymous. But now I see the soul can project and live multiple jivas to live multiple timelines. Even in other universes.

Omnipresent souls such as archangels create forms on demand to interact with whoever they’re called to.

As I’ve mentioned, we’re here to have a unique experience of creation and contribute that to the whole. This amplifies that intention.

I’m now only aware of the 2 timelines, but recent information suggests there’s a couple more. It seems this soul’s journey is more complex than I thought…

I do not know where this is going, but new fields of understanding are unfolding. The journey into possibility continues…

    1. Hi Giovanni
I’d say it’s less about the modality and more about what we’re open to. Here, past lives opened up because my life wasn’t making sense. I was in a career that didn’t align with my temperament, and crazy events kept happening. Past life memories helped bring context and to recognize the karma. Lots of awake people have not gone there.

But it’s not unusual for such things to come up in meditation or in deep healing modalities. It depends on if it’s useful for the person and if they’d be comfortable with it. For example, remembering past lives often happens with strong memories which may not be pleasant.

Knowledge of past lives is also a siddhi or ability mentioned in the Yoga Sutra.

Parallel lives is something I was guided into as there’s knowledge in there, more yet to unfold. The modality was just used to give me a direct experience. I was already getting related information.

    1. Hi Carl
When we shift our relationship with time, the perspective changes. For example, we can experience the past and future being simultaneous in the present. Or we can shift up and down the timeline.

Déjà vu is a specific type of experience where our experience seems to repeat. This can be from either. Reliving a future memory or shifting into simultaneous time.

When the process of experience, from which we get our perspective of time, merges in Refined Unity, these perspective shifts are easier.

    Hi David

This is so fascinating! Can you tell why does a trauma of difficult events in other parallel lives spill over into multiple paths? And do “good stuff” from one timeline also influence lives in other timelines?
And also, if you can, please describe a little bit that other planet and the inhabitants living there. Are they humanoid etc. I guess, back then, they were living in dark age if they were killing others.
    Thank you.

    1. Hi Bojan
It’s not all difficult events, but a particularly difficult event was “loud” enough energetically that it spilled over. And yes, spiritual evolution does influence our other timelines. We lift each other. I don’t think karma per se spills over, though.

Humanoid, yes. It was their version of Dwapara yuga, so a technological age. But at the time, the tech was centrally controlled. The impression I got was that I was doing independent research on energy distribution using large crystals. This couldn’t be controlled, so was banned. Curiously, I have a past life in this timeline doing research on coherent magnetic fields. This suggests there are what might be called soul themes in common.

    Hi David,
This is tripppy. I have also sensed things like this before and wondered a little about them. To be frank though, at the end of the day it seemed superfluous and contrary to the enlightened view, not to mention, daunting . Using the ocean and wave analogy, it seems like the ocean trying to “work out” every single wave configuration that has ever been born out of IT and in the process, forgetting IT’s origins. Please correct me if I’m wrong 🙂

    1. Well, Scott, it depends on your process.
For some, past lives are irrelevant. They’re the past. For others, they’re a key part of putting the journey in context.
I also once saw trauma work as largely irrelevant as “that was done”. Turns out, not as much as I’d thought.
Some of this stuff is quite trippy and seems irrelevant. And yet, there is knowledge in connections that I’m being steered towards. Never would have sought some of this new stuff out, but it keeps showing up. And it seems relevant to some people.

What you’re describing is what the mind does. Wants to figure it all out. What’s happening here isn’t mind driven, but showing up repeatedly until I get the hint. Like the Akashic records. Not something I was interested it. But I turn out to have a long history there, and some related traits. And it will be a valuable resource as it develops.

      Such a curious journey.

If the topic is irrelevant for you, that’s fine. There are hundreds of others. 🙂

      1. Scott

Yes, I see your point about individual process. I heard a quote once about there being are as many paths as there are people…

Also after reading some of the other comments I think I misunderstood what you mean by parallel lives. So let me ask you, what is a parallel life?

        1. Yes, there is a common underlying process, but the subjective experience of it varies entirely. And actually, that’s part of our being here. We’re created to have unique experiences of the whole and contribute that. So yeah, as many paths…

What I mean in this context is a lifetime that’s of the same soul but on a different timeline. In other words, if you went back in time through prior lives, you wouldn’t run into it. Also, the soul is living more than one life at the same time.
          Make sense?

Think of a timeline as a series of lives. 2 timelines have the same starting point and run parallel but don’t intersect normally. In this example, one spilled over into this one.

  3. Wonderful David!! I think this process of discovery is such a fantastic living example of how more uniqueness can unfold the deeper and more surrendered one goes…

I have had very little contact with past lives, just a couple brought to my attention by other gifted mystics…one that I’m aware of is as a Tibetan Buddhist nun and my understanding is that this present lifetime picked up from the spiritual development of that life and I also became in touch with my Lama from that previous life to continue/finish my studies with him throughout the Kundalini rising I experienced. This all came through my friend Jenny Kellogg who is a gifted mystic working with the Akashic Records – interestingly enough I remember her saying that the nun was speaking to her in the present tense, not from the past – she was saying “this is so cool I’m projecting my consciousness to you right now…” Perhaps not so past and more parallel!

Thank you for sharing your discoveries and process of understanding with us!

    1. Hi Dara
Right – the first 2 I discovered were lives as a monk in an ashram in India. In some ways, picking up where those left off, but as I go along, bringing more and more of my history into the present, so it’s all now. 🙂

OMG, this is getting pretty complex. I have a friend he sees that dreams go on during awake state, it’s like a radio station it goes on you can tune in or not. Is it the same with those parallel timelines?
And the connections seem pretty strong, almost like the connection between our many bodies?

    1. Hi Nancy
The basics are pretty simple. It’s just the details that get complex. If you consider that the purpose of our world is to have an infinite variety of experiences, then the variety will be infinite too. That’s complex for a mind to take in, so just go back to basics.
