Communicating with Nature

Talking to NatureMost people live in a material world. They see the world around them as physical and, even though they experience quite a bit more within themselves, assume the world doesn’t share those same layers of experience

Yet, if we recognize that the world arises from and within consciousness, we realize the world also reflects our inner experience. Even more so when we realize we are the observer rather than the doer

Even deeper, everything we experience on the surface is being done by more subtle beings that surround us. They live on those layers we experience as emotions, thoughts, intuition, and bliss. We are the experiencers, and they manage the process of experience and our experiences of form.

We’re here in human form to have these experiences (which are also recorded). For most people, our job is to interact with other humans in the human experience, having the prescribed experiences.

A few people develop their skills for interacting with nature’s beings. Perhaps for healing or for working with nature. They learn to communicate with various types of beings. But even there, they still have a human life to live and take care of.

However, it can sometimes be useful for all of us to work with nature more directly.

I sometimes use the example of a plane flight I took that became like a roller coaster ride. Lift, then drop, lift, then drop… I contacted the wind devas around us, but they said they were just doing their job. So I went up the hierarchy and talked to the King of the wind beings. With respect, I asked if they could move off, away from our plane. The leader appreciated the gesture and had them move. The plane immediately settled.

Similarly, a friend had a large flock of robins move into his backyard. They were crapping all over everything. He contacted the leader of the robin devas, and they moved off into a nearby forest.

While it makes it easier if such beings are in your experience, it’s certainly possible to do the same without that. They’re aware of us even if we’re not aware of them.

However, there are a few key points to understand.
– A lot of nature and elemental beings view humans as arrogant dolts. This is because we stomp in and smash their work with no acknowledgement or respect.

– They’re organized in hierarchies. The front-line workers you might see around you are doing their jobs and have little interest in talking to dolts, let alone getting direction from them. (Occasionally, one will mess with you, causing minor trouble.)

As a result, you need to talk to the leader or “King” of those beings. The King of the wind, or the daisies, or robins, or whatever.

– You need to approach them respectfully. But be aware that they can feel how you feel. If you act respectfully but feel it’s stupid, you’re insulting them.

From a calm space, you ask the leader of those beings, with a feeling of respect, to move them to a more suitable location. You don’t wish them harm.

You may not hear a response, but if done right, will see it.

This came up because someone asked me about it because of a bat problem. It worked. What she heard as she woke the next morning was “disrespect,” along with layers of meaning. We didn’t get the bat deva protocols quite right? Or maybe it was a more general opinion. 🙂

Similarly, you can do this for other natural things, like encouraging plant growth or diverting water. Many gardeners talk to their plants, for example. The plants can feel and sense, but it’s the plant devas that can understand.

Just be careful of your subtle attitude. See it as an open experiment, with curiosity. In fact, that’s a great approach to life.

    Hi David.
Over the years i’ve read about the people, who encountered so called “shadow people” or “shadow beings”. Do you have any informations about this phenomena, who are these beings?
    Thank you.

    1. Hi Bojan
Well, it depends on what they mean by the term.
For example, occasionally when someone dies, there is some resistance to “crossing over” and they hang around for a while. (It varies why.) These are more commonly called ghosts.
Also, if someone has early, vague experiences of subtle beings, they may liken them to “shadows” even when this is a poor term for the experience.
And finally, there can be dark beings that may be experienced or felt as like shadows.

More important than the appearance is what they feel like. Thats a better signal of their qualities.

In the article, I’m talking about nature beings like plant devas and elementals. They’re none of the above. I go into this much more in this 2 part article:
