On Embodiment

On Embodiment

There is a process of integration and embodiment that takes place after shifts and stage changes. And after big releases.

We shouldn’t think of embodiment as something for later, that we’ll deal with it at some advanced stage. Yes, I’m talking about it more and have studied somatic therapy. However, this reflects my process here.

The advantage of a spiritual practice and outlook is the lived experience, now. It’s not about some future accomplishment, some theoretical enlightenment. Yes, it unfolds over time. But avoiding embodiment is a red flag for bypassing, avoiding the lived experience.

If we want to be more present, that’s lived by being in the body. The body is here, now, unlike the mind. Certainly, we can go through phases that are more inner-directed. But that can include the body, too.

Spiritual practices can really open up the top, but our body is where we live life and enlightenment. If we’re not in the body, we’re not in our power and the benefits will be muted.

    Hi David

This is to me a very potent and important post, thank you. Here it seems like the consciousness really wants to penetrate the whole body, the movement is in that direction. And a very beautiful and potent picture.

Yes, and it’s a growing message in some spiritual and healing circles as the push to more fully embody comes online. It seems partly related to the trends of time as it’s coming up with friends I know too. A process underway that’s been amplified.
