The Second Stage

The Second Stage

One of the fascinating things about the dawning age we’re in is that laws of nature are awakening from long dormancy. This means new (in recent times) abilities or gifts are awake and can be discovered. The Yoga Sutra calls them Siddhis, but it goes beyond the prescribed abilities.

In this context, I don’t mean individually. This is a process taking place in the cosmic body, the body of all. The gifts will tend to be discovered by this or that person and exemplified by others or the environment. But it’s awakening in the whole. We see this now as rising talent and discovery in science, sports, and the arts.

But now something new has begun: the second stage. This is when those new laws begin to form relationships. Enough laws have woken to re-establish old structures and flows that have been silent. Here, I don’t mean physical relationships but the interconnection of intelligence. This is what some might call sacred geometry. Where vibration brings subtle structure. Vijnanamaya the koshas, the level of intellect and intuition. This is deeper than mind, so mind discovers it largely by effects.

And this is the astonishing part. Relationship creates a synthesis into what might be called meta-gifts. What Buckminster Fuller called Synergetics: “total system behaviour unpredicted by the behaviour of any isolated components”, a whole greater than the sum of the parts.

That’s when it reeeealy gets interesting. And it’s begun.

This reminds me of a phenomenon I’ve noticed in recent years. I’ll call it inter species harmony. There are pictures of human and lions playing harmoniously together. And all sorts of combos of species interacting lovingly with each other. I think this is a concrete expression of what you’re writing about.

  2. Isaiah 11:6: “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.”

This comes a little after: “And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him: the spirit of wisdom, and of understanding, the spirit of counsel, and of fortitude, the spirit of knowledge, and of godliness.”

I can’t say this is a concrete example of the second stage. Don’t know. But it’s certainly a great example of what happens when enough people radiate the peace they are within. And it may indeed be an example of some of the things that happen when the rules change.

  3. Yes, New Thought is 19th century. New Age is 20th century. From a Yuga perspective, we’re in Dwapara, the energy age. The Greeks would call it the Bronze age.

But that too underestimates it. What is happening now is an exception.

Some have called it a Golden age or Age of Enlightenment. Evidently, the momentum is now strong enough that it is arising. But its certainly not blossomed yet. Best we could say is we’re in a transitional zone. Not quite New yet.

I’m sure a new name will arise and catch the zeitgeist better when it’s more fully known.
