A friend of mine has developed a routine for overcoming Multiple Sclerosis. A routine that has worked well for many people. At a time when Richard was told he would be confined to a wheelchair, he set out on a 25,000 mile tricycle tour around the world. The trip was designed to raise the profile of MS. The journey began in 1981 as is outlined here.

While he is not without symptoms, decades later he still manages the condition well and lives an active life.
He uses a 10 point program of rest, exercise, diet, and balance. By using best of, he suggests meditation for the deepest rest and Ayurveda for balance, diet and supplements. Details are on his web site.
