It’s All Energetic

It’s All Energetic

warm manCertainly, from the perspective of consciousness, it’s all consciousness. However, in the life, in the body, there’s a perspective where everything is energetic

Prior unresolved experiences and trauma disconnect many of us from our emotions and body. As a coping mechanism, we carefully hide this shadow content from our experience.

We often live our lives in layers of conditioning. In shoulds and musts from the mind, out of touch with what life itself is calling for.

As we clean up and move more into our present, bodily experience, we can discover the richness of living here and now – not just in consciousness, but right here in the life.

Soon it becomes apparent that this body and life are a gift. As we move through and digest those unresolved experiences, the shadows fade. Why we’re here, the gifts we offer, the most aligned way of being, and the optimum ways of supporting ourselves can unfold. These all stem from our energetic nature.

While the mind may give us stories about these things, the reality can be quite different. Me, a writer? (laughs)

The perfection in the clear flow of our gifts is the siddhis, the abilities described in the Yoga Sutra (and more). We’re born with some, but they’re often lost by not understanding their energy. This leads us to resist or suppress them.

Discovering our energetic nature, freeing it, and living it, is a path to a more fulfilling and fun life. But that’s unlikely to be what anyone told you it was. There are no shoulds. As Joseph Campbell famously said, “Follow your bliss.” This isn’t selfish; it’s the path to why we’re here. Life is meant to be enjoyed!

Life can become rich, settled, and enjoyable by being ourselves. And yet, that “ourselves” is very unique. We’re each here to contribute to the whole and bring our unique experiences to the table. We’re each built uniquely on purpose.

PS: Our DNA tells us that 99% of our programming is the same for all people. All of our physical variations are in less than 1% of our genes.

Energetically, we all have the same energetic structures. It’s the expression that varies. And even within that variety, there are limitations in the spectrum of expression of each. The real variety comes from all the combinations.

    Hi David,

    Nice post.
I totally agree. The energetic aspect of spiritual development can’t really be overlooked, if you want to make genuine progress. The consciousness side and energetic side work in tandem. They have always been mutually reflexive in my practice. Basically just allowing my mind to rest in a state of energetically unobstructed direct cognition allows for a flow and refinement process to occur in both body and mind.

        Thanks.

Yeah I know you have. Over the years I’ve appropriated your term ‘refining the physiology’ 🙂

The more I refine the physiology /clear the body’s channels the more embodied my awareness seems to be ; at the end of the day , I’m not really sure what the difference is.

        1. It’s a curious process. Before, it’s like adding in the layers to the experience. And then they come together, the presence of awareness and the presence of the body merge.
Like the hourglass with infinity at both ends…

And of course, there are lots of ways this will arise subjectively.
