A Wonderful World showed up in my in box, an old favorite. Here are the words.
What a Wonderful World by Louis “Sachmo” Armstrong
I see trees of green, red roses too
I see ’em bloom, for me and for you
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
I see skies of blue, clouds of white
Bright blessed days, dark sacred nights
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
The colors of a rainbow, so pretty, in the sky
Are also on the faces, of people, going by
I see friends shaking hands, sayin’ how do you do
They’re really sayin’, I love you.
I hear babies cry, I watch them grow
They’ll learn much more, than I’ll ever know
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself, what a wonderful world
[longer version has an instrumental break, then repeats the last 2 verses]
Ooooohhhh Yeah!
From 1968, on BBC TV:

Oooohhh Yeah! That third stanza always gets me. This song is a musical hug!
I know of this song, have listened to it many times, but only just now really heard it – thanks for this gentle reminder – we are so fortunate for our lives, to experience this wonderful world.
It is only for us to see…
I feel it in my fingers
I feel it in my toes
The love that’s all around me
And so the feeling grows
It’s written on the wind
It’s everywhere I go
So if you really love me
Come on and let it show
You know I love you, I always will
My mind’s made up by the way that I feel
There’s no beginning, there’ll be no end
‘Cause on my love you can depend…
What’s even better – deep love is much more than this. It does not end, it requires no object nor response, and we stand in an ocean of it. It is only for us to allow.
Totally with you on Louis Armstrong – What A wonderful World is one of my favourite songs. On the CD I have it closely follows this one…
Aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh……..
